Windows Vista has the built-in ability to automatically reduce the potential of security breaches in the system. It does that by automatically enabling a feature called User Account Control (or UAC for short). In a surprise move, software giant Microsoft has started selling computers and third-party software via its online store, a CNet news report said today. It’s part of a broader push to try to give Windows the kind of lift that Apple has gotten from its network of retail stores, the report added.

Nvidia has unveiled a new 3D rendering system which takes complete advantage of cloud computing. Called the Nvidia RealityServer the system has been created in partnership with 3D modelling specialists Mental Images (a subsidiary of Nvidia) and takes the hard work out of rendering complex 3D graphics, transferring the rendering process from your computer to the web.

Microsoft is all set to release the latest version Windows7 – operating system globally tomorrow (Thursday, October 22). However, the company is likely to miss the OS launch in India. The key reason that could impact the Microsoft’s Windows7 release in the country is the Union Budget 2009-10, according to The Financial Express. The budget has altered the tax structure for packaged software as it directed partial exemption of packaged software from the excise duty.
