Microsoft will detail its planned SharePoint Server 2010 business collaboration platform for the enterprise and Web on Monday, emphasizing Internet, developer, and video capabilities. SharePoint 2010 is feature-complete and will be offered in a beta release in November along with the Office 2010 applications suite. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will discuss the upcoming SharePoint release in a keynote presentation at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009 in Las Vegas.

Drink Red Bull’s energy drinks, and engage in an active lifestyle? Then Red Bull Mobile will likely be targeting you. Could the energy drink brand Red Bull be launching a mobile phone network in the UK? That’s what it certainly looks like, after sources tipped us off to the existence of Red Bull Mobile, which promises “the latest handsets, competitive tariffs and a complete package of mobile communication features.” A UK site is up and running, whilst an Austrian website suggests it’s already launched there.

U.S. network equipment maker Cisco System is to buy Norway’s video-conferencing equipment maker Tandberg ASA for an agreed 17.2 billion crowns in cash, the companies said on Thursday, lifting Tandberg shares.
